Those scam emails have created the false myth that Eastern Europe is full of desperate women who will marry any man who can take them out of here, even if he is 20 or 30 years older. In reality that is very far from true. 

Actually Bulgarian ladies are interested usually in men at most 10 - 12 years older than them. In Russia maybe the acceptable age gap can be considered to be 15 at most. Contacts that are far outside that age range are most likely to be scam, or if they are not scam then they are extremely unlikely to bring real results like marriage or a relationship based on mutual love.
